Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and ThapaWeb (California, United States), which operates TailorClip. By using the service you accept them. If you do not, please do not use it.

TailorClip is in beta

Being in beta means you are early, not that you are getting less. The editor is being built out continuously and new capabilities land regularly — as a beta user you get them the moment they ship, and what you tell us shapes which ones come next.

It also means you will meet rough edges. Something will occasionally render wrong, or break outright. That is expected at this stage, and reporting it is genuinely the fastest way it gets fixed — there is a Report button inside the app that sends us everything we need to reproduce the problem. Because of that, keep your own copy of anything you care about; do not rely on TailorClip as the only place a video exists. We do not promise uptime during beta.

What you keep when beta ends

Beta will end, and prices will rise for people who join after it. That increase will not reach you if you were with us during it:

• Founding members — the first 100 subscribers — keep their beta price for as long as they keep an active subscription. It never rises.
• Every other beta subscriber who has been subscribed for at least two continuous months during beta keeps a permanent discount against the regular price from then on. It is smaller than the founding-member rate, and it is better than what anyone joining later pays.

Both are tied to keeping the subscription running. If you cancel, the standing ends with it and is not restored by resubscribing — a later subscription starts at the price current at that time. A payment that fails and is then successfully retried within a short window is not a cancellation and does not cost you your standing.

We track this automatically from your subscription history — you do not need to claim it, and nobody decides it by hand. We will confirm your exact ongoing rate in writing before beta ends, and we will not shorten these terms retroactively.

Your content stays yours

You keep every right you have in the footage, audio and images you upload, and in the edits produced from them. You give us only the permission we need to run the service: to store your files, process them, and create, render and deliver your edits — and, if you ask us to, to publish them to social accounts you have connected. That permission exists to operate TailorClip for you and for nothing else. It ends when you delete the content or close your account.

We do not use your footage to train AI models, and we do not license it to anyone.

What you are responsible for

• Having the right to upload what you upload — including footage of other people, and including any music you bring yourself.
• Checking the finished edit before you publish it. TailorClip makes automated editing decisions and produces automated captions; both can be wrong.
• Not using the service for anything illegal, for content that infringes someone else’s rights, for harassment, or to impersonate someone.
• Keeping your account credentials to yourself.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.

Music

The music library included in TailorClip is public domain or CC0 and is free for you to use. If you import your own audio, obtaining the rights to it is your responsibility.

Credits and payment

Editing is metered in credits, where one credit is one minute of uploaded footage. Plan credits are granted for a plan month and expire at the end of it; top-up credits do not expire. When you spend, the credits that expire soonest are used first. Beta pricing is shown on the pricing page; if you join during the beta, your price will not go up while you keep your plan. Credits have no cash value and are not refundable except where the law requires it.

Posting to social platforms

If you connect a YouTube channel or a TikTok account, you authorise us to upload to it on your behalf when you ask. You are still bound by that platform’s own terms and community rules, and it can reject, restrict or remove anything you post through us. Where our own integration is still going through a platform’s review, posts may be restricted or published privately by that platform — we tell you this in the app before you schedule anything.

Availability

We do not promise any particular uptime during beta. We may change, pause or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service altogether we will give you reasonable notice and a way to download your work.

Liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for lost content where you have not kept your own copy. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.

Ending it

You can stop using TailorClip and close your account whenever you like. We can close an account that breaks these terms. On closure we delete your content in line with the Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We will update the date at the top when these change, and tell account holders by email when a change is material. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, and the state and federal courts located in California have jurisdiction. This does not remove any consumer protection you have under the law of the country or state you live in.
